MARUŠA (mid-twenties), a sarcastic ex–party girl, feels lost after a traumatic period of taking care of her terminally ill mother. She seeks refuge at her estranged father’s farm, but neither he nor his new family can give her the support she needs. Her only comfort is Billie, her late mother’s man-hating dachshund, and ALJA (mid-twenties), a girl she met online. Urša Menart (1985) graduated in Film and TV directing from University of Ljubljana Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in 2010.
