One foggy morning in 17th-century Ljubljana, the streets shrouded in mist. On the square, a notice board warns of witches. Kranjc, a broad-shouldered husk, hunts a witch, only to be preempted by Vosberg, a slender, fox-faced nobleman. Both are after the same woman, fierce rivals, each boasting tales of monsters and evil deeds. Their tension rises; hands reach for weapons, words cut like knives. Suddenly, a black cat appears in the room, unleashing chaos and confronting both hunters with an unexpected challenge.
