A short drive from one of the biggest ski-jumps in the world - the Giant of Planica stands its miniature sister. It was built by Cena, a grouchy Alpine woodcarver, in whose world one meter equals six centimeters.
Juš Jeraj (1992) is a film director, screenwriter and a PhD student of philosophy. After "Trahere" (2017), "One Meter is Six Centimeters" is his second short film.
Atila Urbančič (1994) studied screenwriting at AGRFT in Ljubljana and is currently writing his debut feature film “The Healers”. After "Trahere" (2017), "One Meter is Six Centimeters" is his second short film.
As filmmakers, we're drawn to unusual stories and characters who are unapologetic about their passions. With his quirky fascinations and emotional investment in the miniature ski jump and figurines, Cena, our film’s protagonist is such a man. His story is the story of enthusiasm and dedication, and as such it is also a reflection of the universal human desire to connect with something larger than ourselves.
